   Many new ideas what to check!   
   But in the meantime I have given up.   
   First I tried to reinstall Windows XP.   
   But after several failures in installing   
   I came to the conclusion that the times of Windows XP are past.   
   Now a new PC with Windows 8 and Option of Windows 10   
   is waiting under my desk to get powered on.
