From: Roddy.McCorley@verizon.net              I have an old IBM Think Pad T60p that will only start in Safe Mode.       However, it will not take the password that I have used for years so I       cannot even get it to run in Safe Mode. It was operating fine in regular       mode and, to install AVAST antivirus, it suggested that I start and load       AVAST in Safe Mode.              Now I'm stuck! Any suggestions?              BTW, it had been a corporate networked computer so there may have been       some corporate controls placed on it.              Thanks,       Dennis              P.S. My e-mail is invalid.       --       "In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In       practice, there is."
