   Correction: the course I took was on sects and cults, but the textbook in   
   question was just on sects, specifically small sects in America.  To the   
   best of my recollection (which may be faulty), Pentecostalism was treated   
   as a sect in this class, perhaps because Pentecostals formed their own   
   churches.   
      
   I gave away almost all of the textbooks from my religious studies courses   
   not long ago, and now I'm regretting it because I can't check them. :(
