   That's the theory. It's very neat, if you also postulate that each   
   "child" universe can differ from the "parent" one in the value of its   
   fundamental physical constants, then you can arrive at an evolutionary   
   process which favours pretty much the kind of universe we're in now; which   
   neatly explains the fact that we are!

   No, as Laura pointed out, quasars _are_ black holes.
