   It depends on what you think OBE's _are_   
      
   If you think they're some mystical part of your being leaving your   
   corporeal body (which is what they generally feel like), then yes, I can   
   see that you might think so; but if you think they're mostly a rather   
   neat sensory illusion, then, IMO, not.   
      
   Even if they're nothing but a very convincing illusion, they're still   
   fascinating, and worth experiencing - if nothing else they're cheaper than   
   a ticket to the cinema, and the special effects are better!
