I did too, for a long time; but then I realised that everyone was quoting
everyone else and that no-one had any objective, convincing evidence.

For instance, (and this will indicate how long ago I was looking into this
:-), I'd read Monroe, who'd say something like "This is the silver cord,
as described by Carrington", so I'd look up Carrington, and it would be
"The silver cord, was shown by Muldoon to connect the astral body to the
physical", and when I tracked down Muldoon, he would say "The ancient
Egyptians called the astral body the 'ka', and believed that it was
connected to the body by a silver cord".

No-one would ever actually _prove_ anything - it was just a castle built
   on sand.

IMO, at least. Your Mileage May Vary, of course (YMMV :-)

Fairly. I've been studying OBE's and all sorts of paranormal phenomena
for quite a long time; and I've never read of anything which I couldn't be
absolutely sure was garnered "paranormally" by anyone I trust.

There are, however, _lots_ of incorrect predictions (y'know "The world
will end", "We will have definite proof of aliens"), and vague, trite,
nonsense ("There will be unrest in the middle east". Well, duh.)

Haven't found anyone who, for example, predicted the recent tsunami though.

Always happy to be corrected though.

Have you tried, or considered trying, any of the free "binaural beat"
programs (such as BWGen, or Natura Sound Therapy)?

Hey, you could even try Dick's "Right Eye" technique. It doesn't work for
me; but you might be one of the 60% he claims it works for.

Probably, and for the same reasons.
