   Hmm, let me think; which is more likely:   
   1) You're seeing an optical illusion, or   
   2) You can detect light that's one hundred million, trillion, times as   
   feint as something already very dim, in the midst of light which is   
   millions of times brighter even that that, and neglecting the fact that   
   even if this light was special, magic astral-light than only you could see   
   your retina would be flooded in it from the blood vessels and structures   
   in your eyes.
