Actually I believed they were subjective experiences for most of the time
that I was a "master" (meaning the ten years or so that I was daily
inducing OBEs and LDs practically at will). It didn't take me long to
see that I wasn't getting the paranormal results I was expecting from my
OBE and remote viewing efforts. After about 7 years I tried doing
psychic dreaming experiments when I hooked up with some people who were
interested in that, but the results once again were not too encouraging.

So, yes, Cezyl, mark me down in your notes as an example of someone who
was obsessed yet still didn't get verifiable experiences. A couple
points of difference between me and some of the people you mention,
though, were that 1) I had not read a whole lot about OBEs and 2) I
fairly quickly lost interest in trying to have verifiable experiences
because it was so much fun creating my own personal OBE world instead.
   :-)

I admire your determination, by the way, and thought it was interesting
that you had examples of potentially shared experiences in which one
party considered himself to have been OB whereas the other considered
himself to have been dreaming. Have you read anything on experiments
with shared dreaming? They seem to be pretty popular in the "dream
community," and might add an interesting sideline to your research.
