   Or the possibility that she's doing it all for her ego? Lots of people hang   
   on her every word, and ask her (technically, the Zetans) questions as if she   
   is an oracle.   
   Or a combination of both?

   There's very little, if any, truth to it. There is a lot of downright   
   untruth to it, though. She has been caught in huge inconsistencies several   
   times, and when that happens, she gets frightfully angry, which is very   
   amusing, since she goes to great lengths otherwise to convey the image of a   
   gentle, saintly woman :-)
