   I got several sheets of automatic writing out of it, and also my first   
   practice with intentionally entering the lucid dream state from waking   
   (though this was before I'd heard of lucid dreams, so I assumed they were   
   visions).   
      
   I eventually concluded that I was dissociating with the automatic   
   writing, because he couldn't say anything I didn't already know.  The one   
   thing he told me that I didn't know but could look up -- his address when   
   he'd lived in New York -- turned out to be wrong.  Of course even if it   
   were real, who's to say you'd really get the entity you are trying to   
   get, as opposed to an astral fraud who enjoys the attention. ;-)
