|    Suggestions - Went and got myself stuck    |
|    11 Feb 05 02:16:20    |
From: robertjo@gmail.com               I haven't been lurking in a while because I haven't been inducing OBE's       lately. I've been having some unpleasant dreaming issues since July and       thought maybe the OBE's had something to do with it and stopped all together       until just now.        I really didn't mean to OBE. I was having one of those dreams where you       keep waking up, just inside another dream, and you can't seem to physically       get up. Once I got a handle on the whole I'm dreaming thing (I was dreaming       I was in a different bedroom for one thing, and younger, and with an       alternate history, and still the big clue I was dreaming was that the damn       room was actually clean) and got myself lucid I decided to project. I really       hate the waking up inside a dream dream, and this one was worse because       every time I'd get up there was a point I couldn't walk past. The idea I had       was astrally project, get out of my body, then get myself back in to escape       the dream and wake up.        Well the plan seemed to work without a hitch. I got myself out of bed,       and headed downstairs for a soda. Now there's a dog gate at the front of the       kitchen, sometimes it's up and sometimes it's leaning against the side of       the wall depending on if anyone is watching the dogs and how misbehaved       they're being ATM. Well when I get to the front of the kitchen, I see the       dog gate up, and I see the dog gate leaning against the wall. That's what       clued me in that I was still projecting.        So I concentrated on my body, got myself back there, and got up again,       and again, and again, and could not get the projection to end. I was doing       backflips where I'd land into my body with a lot of force, I thought that       would do the trick, but it didn't. I couldn't seem to get back in no matter       what.        Any suggestions on how to deal with this and why this happened? Getting       back into your body whenever you wanted to just by thinking about it was a       failsafe that was plastered over everything having to do with self-induced       OBEs when I first learned about them. And this isn't the first time I've had       my mind in a somewhat altered state because it was in a dream an induced an       OBE because I know how to do it, and I don't like the idea of now having       OBEs at random times when I haven't chosen to do it, and at the same time       not being able to stop them.        Sorry about any incoherencies. I'm just really tired right now and my       dreams are getting to me a lot more than they should lately, it's part of       the sleeping problem I talked about earlier, and now I'm a lot more upset       having a something happen in an OBE very similar to what has just upset me       in a dream.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
