   I disagree, to an extent.  I think that everyone should be taught some   
   simple basics of science, and techniques for critical thinking, including   
   how and when to use it in real life - whether they do so, of course, is up   
   to them thereafter.

   It depends on the point of the discussion, if there is one, IMO.   
   If it's a mutual admiration society, where the goal is to inspire and   
   motivate, then by all means: bring out the nonsense.   
      
   But if anyone's looking for answers, crack open the science books!

   No, it doesn't; but I suspect it has more than most people think - they   
   just refuse to accept them.   
      
   More to the point, at some time it will - a claim that a more "subjective"
