    Actually, that definition is what I find to be quite simplistic and   
   succinct. An example   
   would be someone who feels they need to stay with the trends, looks-wise ( an   
   oppressive   
   desire ). Now, this desire then feeds either their low self-esteem or need to   
   impress   
   others/keep their ego up ( again, both oppressive desires ).   
      
    The thing is, IMO, basically all of these oppressive desires are not natural   
   and are a   
   product of social conditioning, upbringing, and exposure to the various forms   
   of media, as   
   well as peer-pressure. Ain't it funny that most people are too scared to   
   actually be   
   /themselves!/ This is why I study people and social interactions as a personal   
   hobby.   
   Most fascinating :) It's funny to see all the different "tribes" in our   
   culture(s).   
      
    Have a bit of faith in humanity. Some people *do* understand things a lot   
   better than   
   you may realise :)
