   The definition I have for phenomenonology is:   
   "The philosophical perspective, founded by Husserl, that in the social   
   sciences concentrates on phenomena as objects of perception (rather than   
   facts or occurences which exist independently) in attempting to examine   
   the ways people think about and interpret the world around them."   
      
   From that definition I would say that phenomenology is pretty much exactly   
   the opposite of what you'd use to verify the objective existence of   
   something such as OBE's.   
      
   I'm sure the techniques of phenomenology would be useful in exploring the   
   subjective experience of OBE's, but that's all; and not what's wanted here.
