Dreams about death are normally contrary - they don't indicate that you are
going to die, just that you are going through a transition phase. Various
different dream interpreters give different meanings for it, but none of
   them are negative.

    For example:

"If you dreamed of being dead yourself, it indicates an approaching
release from all your worries and/or a recovery from illness." (Stearn
   Robinson & Tom Corbett)

"The theme is a regular and recurring omen in dreamlore and is rarely (if
ever) to be feared as a forecast of actual death or as a portent of evil.
Death may be compared to the last chapter of a book, where the turning of
the final cover marks the closure of one particular way of being and the
birth of something unimaginable and new. As a classic dream of contrary, a
vision of death signifies a fresh start and new beginnings." (Philip Clucas)

In addition, things in your living room that were left behind could also
have significance for you - you could do a search on the various items you
saw (in context of dreamlore) and see if you get any more clarity that way.

Please don't be frightened in waking state by these dreams, they can be
easily interpreted. You are also free to change your dream; i.e. when you
go to bed tell yourself that you know you will dream and that it won't
frighten you but teach you something instead, you will somehow remember this
when you do start dreaming - or even have OBE experiences & it will help.
