      I have gone through similar things with the phantom limb affect.   
   It is a solid indicator of good progress I think.  You are focusing your   
   attention in a dramatically altered state,not easy for sure.   
      When I used to be a bit more active with these things I can remember   
   times when I would hit a trance level and would experience limited   
   mobility   
   of the body and just as with yourself on this occasion would end up with   
   a result that seemed to have involved the spirit arm getting separated   
   only.   
   I would say you are solidly knocking at the door.
