   I've been studying "the paranormal" since I was old enough to use our   
   local library; but OBE's have always been a particular interest.   
      
   I had hoped to use OBE's as a means of developing and testing my theories   
   about parapsychology; because they seemed to me to be an unequivocally   
   "paranormal" phenomenon, something I've since realised is not necessarily   
   true.   
      
   Now I'm just trying to improve my talents in that direction for the same   
   reason I'm interested in other types of lucid dream: to increase my   
   ability to visualise, and for fun.   
      
   I had been hoping to use this newsgroup to learn more about the   
   phenomenon; but it hasn't really worked out that way.
