   I just read now and then to hear about other's experiences (or opinions.) In   
   the late 70's I read Robert L. Monroe's book "Journeys Out Of The Body." I   
   realized that I had an out of body experience or a lucid dream when I was   
   about 12. I practiced and was able to reach the vibrating state over the   
   next 10 years or so but often failed to exit due to overwhelming fear and   
   the a feeling of a unknown presence in the room. Around 1990 I wrote a song   
   using my 12 year old experience as the subject. I called it "The   
   Hitchhiker." My OoBE's in that 10 years were rather uneventful. Raising   
   children and accumulating financial responsibility seems to have disabled my   
   ability to leave, so... I just read.
