Sorry to respond to my own post; but I think this sounds more
combative than I intended - I was in a hurry to get out and post some
   cards.

The question of vision in OBE's is rather interesting. I've been using
sbagen to spend prolonged periods in hypnogogia, to investigate the way
"perception" works there. To me, it appears very similar to the way
perception works in dreams, and, from what I remember, in OBE's.

Essentially, perception in these three states seems to be more symbolic
than actual - rather than seeing things for example, one is simply aware
of them. They are still visual; but vision is perfect (for example, I
have examined seagulls flying in my dreams in a way that is impossible in
   RL without binoculars).

Does this match anyone else's impressions of their dreams or OBE's?

I also wonder whether people suffering from "face-blindness" (those with
deficits in their face-recognition modules) can recognise people in dreams
   or hypnogogia.

Any PA sufferers out there able to tell us?
