   2)There appears to be a certain amount of Reiki involved in this one.   
      
   There has been a lot of dialogue in this thread since my naive question and   
   I had spent ages trying to crystalise my thoughts into a new cogent and well   
   structured post when something bizarre happened to it and it disappeared   
   into the ether and my brain shrank to the size of a walnut. I have now   
   recovered and I will have another go in another post. Thanks to everyone who   
   contributed to what, to me, has been a very vexing question.
