   After all is said and done, I think we come down to the 'noetic' experience.   
   I know there is a big difference between 'reality' (what we perceive it to   
   be) and 'Actuality' (what the world/universe/s actually is/are).  Science   
   does help with figuring out the 'Actuality' of it, but Science only goes so   
   far (and frankly now days puts too much into the 'theories' that are   
   unproven).  As for the rest, it is up to us to 'experience' it and make our   
   own interpretations of it without actual proof (for now).  So, yes, I have   
   the same experiences and 'know' that the ob and lucid dreams are very   
   different, and as I get deeper into this I have only  myself and my own   
   reasoning ability to depend on.  Just my 2cents.
