   Reasoning by analogy, no matter how poetic, is not usually advisable.   
      
   The problem with relying on anecdotal evidence, is that although it seems   
   reasonable, it really isn't.   
      
   Since you like reasoning by analogy, here's one for you: suppose each time   
   you buy a brick to build a house, it's flawed.  Surely, you might argue,   
   there must be _some_ good in all those bricks - see how many there are.   
      
   The problem is: your house will fall down.
