My question: Are OOBE's truly actual separation from the physical body and
experiencing distant places, events and even times which one can remember
upon return and that RV is just putting out "feelers" and only experiencing
a vague idea of the target area?

I have no personal experience of either, although I am planning to change
that this year. I am very confused about the whole thing, to tell you the
   truth. MikeH

Yes there seems to be a diffrence..
I myself had several obe, look in Monroe book at the last pages, in there a
method to induce obe experiences, I used this method and it worked so give
   it a try.
Second yes I believe and experienced that an obe is actually out of the
body, your are leaving the body with the astral body and wander around. I
also felt several time the connecting link between astral en fysical body..
its like a rope on your back and when you think of you lying to sleep on you
bed at home .. suddenly you are pulled back. yes a backwards sensation...
the art is not to think about that and to focus on what you see in front of
you to stay in the obe state else you be back in a wimp !

    Eldor

I am just beginning those pages in the book, after what you said, I will pay
particular attention to them. Thanks for the advice. I won't be a wimp!
