   Rupturing the L1 disk damaged the sciatic nerve left me   
   with pain and numbness in my left foot and lower calf.   
   I'm still grappling with the ramifications of this because   
   activities that I used to do every day including running,   
   are really no longer available to me.   
      
   It's been a struggle. I'll figure it out eventually.
