I lived in Japan for 11 years, and I had Japanese friends telling me
that the Japanese nation as a whole is very good at that. That's why
for people who look into Japanese society, there seem to be a lot of
contradictions. They are living by their own code of Social Darwinism,
to borrow your phrase. Despotic rule in Japan is something you run
into at every private company you work for in Japan. Good thing we put
them back in their country where they belong as the result of WWII.
After their rape of Nanjing, and the genocide they perpetrated against
the Chinese, things are looking up, for that part of the world.

Getting back to area 51, anyways, I think there are a lot of evil,
nasty, and ugly peopleI wouldn't want to meet involved in the programs
   they've got there.

   Your comments are very insightfull.
