   No. Darwin was writing about common descent, and evolution has always   
   been a part of common descent but Darwin was far too stupid to

   Here. Allow me to help you out....   
      
   The communist world outlawed evolution and replaced it with   
   "lysenkoism."   
      
   Get it? Evolution was banned, outlawed, by Stalin and later Mao.   
   In it's place they enforced lysenkoism.   
      
   Lysenkoism was approved, evolution was outlawed.   
      
   Now lysenkoism was based on (a variation on) lamarckism. By no   
   coincidence what so ever, Darwin's one and only theory, pangenesis   
   was based on the exact same thing.   
      
   Can you see it now?   
      
   APPLY what Darwin believed to the real world and you don't end up   
   with evolution, you end up with what the people who BANNED evolution   
   believed.   
      
   But it gets worse.   
      
   BEFORE Darwin's pangenesis -- his slight variation on lamarckism --   
   Gregor Mendel figured out inheritance. And, yes, Darwin was   
   exposed. But Darwin was such a fraud, such a fucking idiot that he   
   REJECTED Mendel in favor of his pseudo scientific nonsense of   
   pangenesis!   
      
   But it gets worse.   
      
   By becoming the name & face of naturalism and rejecting the right   
   answer -- Mendel's answer -- Darwin literally HURT science. He   
   didn't advance it one iota, HE HELD BACK SCIENCE!  It took another   
   20 years for the English speaking world to rediscover Mendel's   
   findings and get on the right track.   
      
   So, you're wrong. Religious fundamentalists are fixated on the   
   literal interpretation of words. Are you a religious fundamentalist?   
      
   It sure looks that way!   
      
   Because if you moved on from a literal interpretation of Darwin's   
   words as filtered through time, and ignore how Darwin himself   
   applied his beliefs, you can fool yourself into thinking that Darwin   
   believed in evolution.
