   Believers are those that believe in God, and you should now that as many   
   times as it has been pointed out.   
      
   1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they   
   are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.   
      
   This is a basic teaching of God to mankind. In the OT times they were to kill   
   the false prophets who were Israelites. Not based on whim or feelings but   
   based on their false witnessing and predictions
