It is a term not needed, little used, and unnecessary.

It was never taught to me when I was young or old. It is not English, and in
fact it is a term typically used by pretentious people.

None of my kids, nor my grandkids have used it, been taught it, and most of
   kids have been highly educated.

If I forgot, then it was never of any use. We could go into its usage, and
when to use it or not. However, on the Usenet it is ridiculous to use it.
There is very little continuity of thought, or understanding, and most people
do not use any depth of thought or caring on what all they spew forth, and
treat the thoughts of others likewise.
