XPost: sci.skeptic, alt.atheism, soc.history       XPost: alt.conspiracy       From: jtem01@gmail.com              Time Travel is a possibility. Just not for humans.              Tachyons!              According to Wiki, which is garbage written by adult-diaper-wearing       usenet trolls, tachyons are impossible because faster than light       particles would move backwards through time, breaking casualty.              Hmm...              Start talking about The Multiverse and suddenly there can't be any       issues at all. And if that's too big of a concept to wrap you head       around, try Einstein who supposedly excludes tachyons...              Simultaneity.              If you're unsure of what it is, here's VERY brief explanation...              https://youtu.be/wteiuxyqtoM?si=xwV7dwGzWnmUt1g6              Not discussed in the above video, but you can Google it, is the       concept of "The Light Cone." Supposedly you & I can both witness       the exact same event, we can watch two very different outcomes       and we can both be 100% correct. Just not within the same Light       Cone.              But there are no two exact same Light Cones, though they would       overlap so much that differences would be largely imperceptible,       Except at great distances. So distant, perhaps, that they could       not matter.              My point is, time is relative. It's not the same everywhere and       for everyone. The Multiverse is real. The problem is one of       conceptualization. People want to think of the "Multiverse" as       all these DIFFERENT universes, perhaps side by side, with the       differences growing in severity as you move between them further       and further from your universe of origins.              Wrong.              The Multiverse is the universe. It's our universe. Our universe       exists in every POTENTIAL state simultaneously.              It's not far fetched at all.              There are many who describe all of time existing all at once. And       this has to true. Time itself only exists WITHIN the universe! If       you could step outside of the universe none of this would or could       exist because there would be no moment of time to exist within, and       no place (space) for it to occupy. The universe only exists       because we are in it!              If we think of the universe this way, as a bubble of Spacetime,       it is very, Very, VERY easy to see time as existing all at once.       Because time is acting IN but not ON the universe....              So once you are capable of seeing everything happening all at       once, you just need to add one single more dimension: Every       POTENTIALITY!              So if we take one baby step away from "Everything happens all       at once" to "Every POTENTIALITY happens all at once," we have       the Multiverse. And even in Einstein's work, which supposedly       excludes all this, we find that it's supported. It's necessary.       Two people can observe different outcomes AND BOTH BE RIGHT, as       per Einstein, because both are POTENTIAL outcomes and, as such,       both exist and always existed.              So once you get into this... what the hell is the problem with       Tachyons? They do things predicted by Einstein: Fudge our       excessively limited, excessively rigid perception of reality       WHICH WE ALL ALREADY KNEW IS WRONG!                                                        --       https://jtem.tumblr.com/tagged/The%20Book%20of%20JTEM/page/5              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
