   There are many black people who hate white people. What they don’t   
   understand is that there are many white people who are sympathetic to black   
   people and want to see them do well. They attack precisely the wrong people.   
   They attack big-city liberals    
   who believe in civil rights. They attack people who don’t hate them, so then   
   they have to deal with people who do.   
      
   I am from Russia. Russia is a very racist country. It has half of Europe’s   
   skinheads. Whereas in America a vast effort has been made to fight racism.   
   And, for the most part, this effort has been a successful one.   
      
   Are there white people who are racists? I don’t think we’ll ever do away   
   with people being jerks. However at the societal level the conditions are now   
   much better than they were when the effort started. Many black people have   
   done well in America.    
   America has had a black president. Martin Luther’s dream is in effect.   
      
   Well what about the condition of the inner city? That place needs a culture   
   change. Kids need to be told to stay in school and to stay off of drugs and   
   crime. This problem is not one of white people’s doing. This problem is one   
   of black people’s    
   doing. If you think that kids who take school seriously are “acting white”   
   or “think they’re better than everyone else,” then you are going to lose.   
      
   Once again, a vast effort has been made in America to fight racism, and this   
   effort has been a successful one. Because so many people are a part of it I do   
   not see the reason to be a part of it myself. I do however support it. By all   
   means confront    
   racism, but also do what you need to do in your communities. Kids should be   
   encouraged to stay in school and avoid drugs and gangs. The more this is done,   
   the more black people do well in America, the less there is a case for racism.
