|    "Mommy's Boy"    |

From: ibshambat@gmail.com              Someone once called me a mommy’s boy.              That is correct. I am a mommy’s boy. I have always been close to my mother.       My mother is a wonderful woman, and I can only wish that I could be like her.       For that matter my daughter is daddy’s girl. She too is very close to me,       and we enjoy a        wonderful relationship.              Since when did it become wrong for people to love their parents? Parents and       children should love one another. If parents and children don’t love one       another, something is wrong. There are many bad family situations. However       family or parenting as such        is not the problem. Family and parenting can, and should, be done better.              So some people think that children raised in loving homes are spoiled and good       for nothing. My daughter is competent at any number of things. I never had to       be strict with my daughter. She has always been a good kid. I don’t even       have to motivate her,        she motivates herself.              Is it spoiling the child to raise her with love? No it is not. It is in fact       very strengthening to the child. The child develops a good self-image and has       confidence in herself. The message she hears from her parents is, “You are       good, you are lovable,        you are worthy of good things.” And that can go a long way to helping the       child to have a good life.              So yes, I am a mommy’s boy, and I think that that is a good thing. A woman       as good as my mother deserves to pass on her legacy. Parents and children       should love one another, and more people need to be encouraged to do that. And       raising a child with        love is a valid thing to do.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
