   There are people who keep attacking extramarital sex and gay sex. Yet they are   
   doing nothing to fight sexual violence against children. That is unbelievable   
   hypocrisy.   
      
   About half the people I know have been victims of incest. Some were victims of   
   incest since they were 3 or 4. Social conservatives are doing nothing to fight   
   this problem. Instead they see government’s attempts to fight this problem   
   as government    
   overreach and government tyranny. It is far greater tyranny to attack the   
   sexual practices of consenting adults than to fight sexual abuse against   
   children.   
      
   When incest and domestic violence are practiced in families, that discredits   
   family itself. This then leads many sincere people to become anti-family.   
   These people are confused. The problem is not with the value but with the   
   misuses of the value. Family    
   can, and should, be done better.   
      
   The sexual practices of consenting adults are between them and their partners.   
   Whereas sexual abuse against children is everybody’s business. No child   
   should have to put up with getting raped. And while everyone is expected to   
   howl for the blood of a    
   man who rapes somebody else’s children, incest, which has much worse effects   
   than pedophilia, is protected within the family unit.   
      
   If you really want to confront sexual immorality, first confront incest.   
   Incest is a far worse sin than extramarital or gay sex. It is abuse of power,   
   and it is traumatizing someone for life. Consenting adults do what they do on   
   their own free will and    
   accord. Children who get raped do not.   
      
   So I want to confront hypocrisy on this subject. If you really want to   
   confront sexual immorality, incest is the place to start. Family values means   
   being good to your family; character means controlling yourself; and   
   responsibility means being    
   answerable for one’s actions. A person who commits incest fails by all rules   
   of conservatism. And it is these people, not adults practicing loose   
   sexuality, that need to be confronted first.
