   My suggestion is that we each have an ID algorhythm, based on one of the   
   astsronomical equations associated with our date of birth and position in the   
   universe.  Aliens could probably decode that, about like Ultra decoded   
   Enigma.  At birth, we get a chip    
   that is used for ID, with links to various switches and accounts.  Both male   
   and female could have chip placed in alternate places, like noses, feet,   
   palms, foreheads, etc..
