One upon a time, my sister learned an extremely difficult
to win two-deck solitaire game at college, and taught it
   to my dad and I.

She couldn't remember its name, so we've always called it
   "The Game".

Cards being a cumbersome Real Reality (tm) pain in the ass
at times, I wound up writing it in Lua for terminal play.

(FWIW, Lua is easily my favorite language. Its
block-enclosing syntax annoys me a little, but Lua is
simple, and has a fantastic features:size ratio. And at the
time I did my initial investigation to finally settle on
a go-to scripting language, it also seemed to be the most
easily portable between varieties of devices/OS's. (And,
yes, this is a plug, because I'm a Faithful Believer
   (tm).))

Given Lua's luscious portability, it runs exactly the same
in the Linux within my Chromebook's "Terminal" app, and in
a Termux session on my Android phone. Glorious!

Here's how it looks: (the 'xxxxxxx' blots out my actual
   login name):

Ain't that just command line grand?

Oh... I should mention that of *course* it's going to
look like a disaster if you're reading this in a variable
width font. This mention is because the other day someone
commented on something I wrote as though I'd created some
kind of visual mess for them, and then realized their
comment suggested they were probably viewing my post in
a variable-width font. I mean, what kind of bastion of
cluelessness views USENET posts in a variable-width font?

But, then, that's apparently the world we "live" in....

(No, I'm not going to explain what all of what you're
seeing means, because it wouldn't make sense without
understanding The Game, and I don't think The Game could
be taught other than in person with an actual physical
   double deck.)
