|    Meanwhile, back on Planet Moronia....    |

From: oldernow@dev.null              There's nothing dumber than becoming smart on Planet       Moronia.              All that accomplishes is heightening one's sense of       where and how things could be made better, which on       Planet Moronia means becoming increasingly aware of the       natives making everything worse every step of the way,       in every possible way - and then despising you for being       - relative to their inherent stupidity - a "know it all"       "fuckwit" that "speaks/writes in word salad".              That's how the majority sees anyone that raises their       wherewithal/skills game on Planet Moronia.              I know it feels tempting to become smarter. You think it's       going to improve your life, streamline it, increase the       fun/effort ratio, etc., etc.              And it does.              Except that it *effectively* doesn't, because the natives       of Planet Moronia vastly outnumber you, and await you       every step of the way to render your self /life / world       improvement efforts not merely meaningless, but literally       foolish.              You'll hear some of them say "you just need to let it       go". The more seemingly spiritual amongst them will even       couch what you need to do in terms of "non-attachment".              Thing is that for a Planet Moronia native, it's not       non-attachment: it's BEING TOO STUPID TO KNOW ANY BETTER,       TOO STUPID TO SEE FUCKUPPEDNESS AS PRECURSOR TO FIXING IT.              Oh, how nice it must be to be too insolently stupid to       hear/see all the trees falling in the forest!              I dare say that "non-attachment" is a practice invented       by really smart people to provide a possible inner escape       route to as far away from the natives of Planet Moronia       as possible....              --       oldernow       xyz001 at nym.hush.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
