   Jesus! Don't get me started. Let me rewrite the above slightly:   
      
   1: BEGIN   
   2: Sign lengthy, complicated legalese that can be reduced   
       to "Everything that goes wrong is the patient's fault."   
   3: Hand over a huge amount of cash.   
   4: Medical expertise means "Try this. If it doesn't   
       work, try that. If that doesn't work, try something   
       else .".   
   5: GOTO 1.

   Anything more complicated than a cold, I think the above pretty much   
   describes my experience. Note that depending on where you live in europe   
   step 3 is either handled through your tax bill or directly in case you   
   didn't feel like waiting in line for 1 year to get your treatment.
