From: oldernow@dev.null              Extremely difficult day, yesterday.              And it suddenly hits me why elaborating that transforms a       useful statement of context for the rest of the post into       whining: it's because everyone already knows how difficult       life in this realm is - or can become quicker than a text       file gets posted. To detailing the difficulty of life       becomes "tl;dr" really quickly. May as well enumerate       the varieties of how shit stinks.              Of course, that paragraph wound up pretty boring anyway.              I'm trying to remember the last time internet content rose       above "same old, same old" grade.              Of course, this entire post is just more of that.              Interacting helps. But that almost always fizzles for       reasons we could enumerate and debate. But what would       that accomplish given what we really want is for       interactions not to fizzle in the first place,       and generally can't personally be other than       that which contributes to ultimate fizzle?              Today has started out beautifully. Discounting the physical       pain lingering from yesterday, the river is calm, the sun       over it is insanely beautiful, and some leftover frozen       homemade minestrone-ish soup was the perfect bio-system       jump start. I wish the silence of being the only one       awake in the house could last forever, but then I       know I don't really mean that because ennui.              I'm resolved to roll with today's punches!              --       oldernow       xyz001 at nym.hush.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
