I have a mantra that runs through my head; Mens sana in corpore sano, a
healthy mind in a healthy body. I read it ages ago in the writings of
   the Roman satirist, Juvenal.
   Body goes with material reality.
I can't see how anyone can get out on a bike, pedal hard, breathe hard
and survey the passing scenery, without feeling the touch of material
   reality.
Exercise in itself is a body-strengthener; just as travel broadens the mind.

Community? Choose yours carefully. I've known some that are severely
detrimental to intelligent people; filled with gossip, petty concerns,
bitterness and bullying. Choose carefully, and beware of the ignorant
herd. Look at how the tabloid press treat celebrities; they raise them
up and then hurl them to the rocks.
