   The Devil will lie and say that he is God.   
      
   Then scientists will lie and say that their false ideas   
   are true ideas.   
      
   The net result will be that no one will obtain benefit   
   from having 'true' ideas because 'true' ideas will in   
   fact be false.   
      
   Then people will make up more false stuff because the   
   new false stuff will be as untrue as the old false   
   stuff.   
      
   Then people will stop listening.  This would be   
   based upon the idea that the lies are not worth   
   knowing.
