   The only thing you say that is almost true is that our kids   
   take a side eventually (in our society all do, and then stick   
   to it, though most don't remember it), but even the age you   
   give is wrong, there is no fixed age at all, that depends on   
   life experiences: and the mechanism is cultural, not natural,   
   indeed some kids at that juncture happen to have an arsenal   
   that is not just subjugator vs subjugated, some can already   
   appreciate higher ideals than just literal retribution, and   
   some are even already smart enough to think holistically.
