   Any politician who wants to let it expire entirely is going to be   
   called a "traitor" and "weak on defense" by Republicans in their   
   election rhetoric.   
      
   Like when they push through their big regressive tax cuts with an   
   expiration date, come election time you're "raising taxes" if you let   
   them expire as planned. Of course they never go into whose taxes are   
   being raised -- the average joe or the millionaires/corporations.
