|    "He was completely justified" - Stephen     |

XPost: alt.sodomites.barack-obama, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, talk.politics.guns       XPost: or.politics       From: enough.of.the@apes.usa              One of the biggest stories around the States has been the shooting of       Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota, as the various videos have been       circulating online. After seemingly trying to run over an ICE agent, the       latter responded and fired, resulting in the 37-year-old woman passing       behind the wheel.              The reactions are divided, with some saying the agent acted accordingly,       while others think it was a bit too hasty, resulting in the tragic death       of a mother. One of the most prominent media personalities in basketball       and sports, Stephen A. Smith, is not one to shy away from sharing his       opinion on contentious topics, including political/social issues like this       one.              "I saw the video on numerous occasions, and seeing what transpired from a       lawful perspective, as it pertains to a law enforcement official, don't       expect him to be prosecuted. He was completely justified," Smith said.              It still could have been handled differently       Stephen A. is confident that no legal issues should follow the agent, as       he reacted accordingly to his training, profession and situation. However,       he still couldn't shake off the fact that the problem could have been de-       escalated in a non-tragic manner.              "She wasn't driving down the road, coming at you 90 miles an hour, she was       parked in the middle of the street. Rather than get out the car, she       wrongfully tried to drive off. And wrongfully disregarded a law       enforcement official because that it was ICE is and as a result, lost her       life because of it," he added.              What the correct conclusion is, however, is really subjective and complex       to determine, as it is the reason why so many people are arguing and       debating what the consequences for such an unfortunate event should be. At       the end of the day, one can only offer their condolences to Good's family       and pray that other problems do not arise from this situation.              https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/completely-justified-stephen-reacts-ice-       232524073.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
