   "We should be allowed to pick our own candidates," as Republicans like to say.   
      
   I can remember them getting all bent out of shape over campaigns by   
   Democrats urging their voters to vote for the most vulnerable general   
   election Republican in the primaries (a practice started by Rush   
   Limbaugh against the other side, BTW).
