   I can't imagine that the papers would do much with the info, being   
   they don't have much ability to further investigate a matter like this.   
      
   But if it is a criminal plot, I would think the state police are a   
   better place to go. You'd then have a record/report on file with them,   
   should anything further happen, and they might consider it improtant   
   enough to go a step further; maybe attempt a sting.   
      
   But putting this matter on the Net creates an opportunity for the info   
   to get back to some of the parties. To mimimize the chances, you could   
   ask Google to delete relevant newsgroup posts from thier cached files;   
   or the police could also make the request should they begin an   
   investigation; sooner the better, I'd think.
