The day that you walk into a prison environment and not feel fear is the day
you better hang it up and walk away.
I don't know how much more simply I can put it. You are surrounded by as
many as 1000 animals who have proven beyond a reasonable doubt their
willingness to victimize you and/or any other person who they perceive as
   having something they want.

Hardly. Your point of view is engendered, maintained, and encouraged to
flourish within a subset of our culture that essentially believes in the law
of the jungle. You take what you want, when you want it, from whomever has
it that you feel bold enough to take it from. It is, quite frankly, as
   simple as that.

   > By the way - you did not answer the question. Kobe Bryant is not an
   ex-con -

I did answer your question quite pointedly. You've just chosen not to read
the answer. But I'm sure you'll forget you've asked this question when you
respond to me a few paragraphs down...

   > And then again, there are ex-cons who might never reoffend, but that aint
   in
   > your vocabulary. Is it.

See what I told you? Predictable. Mathematical. Logical. Given any set
of circumstances, the world boils down to a series of choices that, from the
outside, may seem overwhelmingly complex and impossible to predict - yet to
the trained mind it is little more than a lesson in probability. And so we
come inexhorably to the question posed by all convicts at some point: That
of their "goodness" or their ability to repent - are the actions they have
been found guilty of some sort of snafu - the poor choice of a person
stressed through circumstance or chemical imbalance - or, indeed, is it
something much more sinister - truly an indication of evil residing within
the person - a "dark seed" if you will?

I'm sorry I can't answer that question for you. I know what the statistics
say. About half of you will reoffend and continue to plague society. But
that leaves the other half, doesn't it? That glimmer of hope....the Light
at the End of the Tunnel....the belief that you have the power to turn it
around and reaffirm yourself as a productive member of society. That you
truly are a "good" person in a "bad" happenstance. You have at least a
50-50 chance if the numbers are to be believed, no?

But, sadly, "No" is indeed the answer. Because there is no way for the
numbers to reflect the people in your fraternity who are never again caught
violating the law, is there? And certainly no way to seperate the man from
his deeds. Who knows what lurks in a Man's heart? What he is strong enough
to repress or control vs. that which he inflicts upon his fellow Man? All I
can share with you is my perception of you: And that is based entirely upon
what you write here and nothing more. The very undercurrent of what you
share exposes a propensity to believe that the victims of crime have gotten
exactly what they deserve. In the case of our friend, Kolbe Bryant, he was
just taking that which was his birthright as a Man-Animal to take. If the
little bitch didn't want it, she shouldn't have gone to his room, right?

   Very dark. And very sad.

   >
   >
   > Shit comes out of both ends of you - dont it ?

And in frustration with his inability to prove or deny his very propensity
to act and think as an animal, the beast lashes out in typical, mindless
rage. Ever conscious of the fact that each word, each utterance simply adds
another layer of refinement to the supposition...
