   No, they knew it was a stop sign violation.   
   After the chase reached 100 mph, they should have broken off in the hopes   
   that they both wouldn't lose control and kill someone- which is what   
   happened.   
   Are you going to tell me that a stop sign violation is grounds for   
   endangering the public weal?
