   What you are forgetting is that the bulk of people who look for kosher   
   certification are NOT Jews.   
   People do it for health reasons, or just because they are convinced that   
   kosher means "pure" or even just "superior quality." In many cases, they are   
   correct, but there you go.   
      
   I won't go into why certain products are kosher unless some non-bigot asks   
   for the information.
