Why are you insistently trying to bring other people in female's private and
very personal decisions about her own life?

No one else, but the pregnant woman herself, is in position to exercise her
right, as well as having the power to (single-handedly) decide and -
subsequently - execute her individual decision about termination of her
   pregnancy during gestation period.

The whole matter around umbilical cord on differentiating a fetus from a
person is corresponding to the needs of bureaucratic formalities, and in
regards to legality of abortion and the practice of individual rights.

   > Biological science shows that life has no discontinuities.

This "fact" must be very new, because up until you pointed this out just
now, it was quite foreign to science. Not mentioning about being totally
pointless and very useless in relation to the issues of abortion.

FYI, nature has created a scene in female's life in which pregnancy is
playing a very personal and extremely private role, which can be kept in
secrecy from everyone else, let alone - from society, during its full term.
Therefore, neither society, nor law - are being able to impose the terms and
conditions you are trying to designate for her.

In fact, a knowledgeable and experienced in doing abortions woman is able to
terminate her pregnancy on her own, without sharing the info about her being
   pregnant to anyone.
But extended availability of abortions to all of the women on equal basis -
is certainly helping to achieve a social justice and fairness in society on
the basis of equal access to such medical procedures.
