Yup. One time when I was on an odd work schedule, and was
trying to sleep at 11:00 AM, some guy in the building next
door was apparently adjusting his car alarm, which apparently
required setting it off over and over and over again. He
wasn't even smart enough, or considerate enough, to shut off
the noise after just an instant, which would have been enough
to let him verify it had triggered. No, he had to let it run
through the full cycle. I was just about ready to call the
cops, but figured waiting up for them to arrive, then arguing
the issue of whether it was illegal or not for him to do this
in the middle of the day, would interrupt my sleep more than
   just waiting him out.

It was real lucky for me I didn't own a firearm.
