     crowds concerning john, what you exited into the desert to see, a reed the   
     wind agitated. but what you exited to see, a man in soft vestment. behold,   
     they in soft vestments in the houses of kings are. but what you exited to   
   see,   
     a prophet. and also i say to you, and more than a prophet. this for is he, of   
     whom written it is, behold, i send the messenger my own before the face of   
     yours, which will prepare the way of yours before you. verily i say to you,   
     not has surrected among them born of women more major than john the baptist,   
     he but most minor is in the kingdom of the heavens more major is than he.   
     from the days but of john the baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens   
     force allows, and the violent seize that. all for the prophets and the law   
     up to until john prophesied. and if you are volitive it to receive, himself   
     is elijah, which for to come was. he that has ears to be audient, let him be   
     audient. whom but is similar i will estimate to the generation this. similar   
     it is to children sitting in the forum, as they are clamoring to their   
     coequals, saying, we have sounded to you, and not you have danced, we have   
     lamented, and not you have bewailed. came for john neither manducating nor   
     imbibing, and they say, a daemon he has. came the son of man manducating and   
     imbibing, and they say, behold a man devouring, and a potator of wine, of   
     publicans and the peccant amicable. and justified is the sapience by the   
     children their own. then began he to reprobate the cities in which done were   
     most of the virtues of him, because not they acted in penitence. woe to you,   
     chorazin. woe to you, bethsaida. because if in tyre and sidon, done had been   
     the virtues, which done were in you formerly, in cilice and ashes in   
   penitence   
     they would have acted. but yet i say to you, tyre and sidon more remitting   
     will be the day of judgment, than for you. and you, capernaum, can it be that   
     all the way to the heaven will be exalted, all the way to the inferno will be   
     descended, because if in sodom done had been the virtues, which done were in   
     you, perchance would have remained all the way to this day. but yet i say to   
     you, because the land of sodom more remitting will be in the day of judgment,   
     than for you. at that time responded jesus and said, i confess to you father,   
     dominus of the heaven and the earth, because you have absconded these things   
     from the sapient and the prudent, and have revealed them to babes. thus,   
     father, because thus it was to be placated before you. all things to me   
   traded   
     over are from the father of me, and no man knows the son, except the father,   
     neither the father any man knows, except the son, and whomsoever will be   
     volitive the son him to reveal. come to me, all you that labor and onerated   
     are, and i will restore you. take the yoke of mine upon you, and discern from   
     me, because mild i am and humble in heart, and you will find requiet to the   
     souls of yours. the yoke for of mine suave is, and the onus of mine levitous
